Ask a Candidate

As Ontarians prepare to head to the polls on June 7, campaigns are in full swing across the province. Here are a few questions you may wish to ask candidates at forums, and door-to-door canvassers:

  1. During your election campaign, what are you doing as a candidate and as a Party to ensure that all your election materials and events are accessible to people with disabilities/sight loss?
  2. If elected, would your party work with CNIB and other disability stakeholders to ensure Ontarians with disabilities have improved access to accessible technology through the Assistive Devices Program?
  3. If elected, what will your government do to ensure that the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is fully enforced?

“As a person with sight loss, I have plenty of gratitude for having access to ADP. This program has enabled me to carry out my own daily activities and participate actively and productively in the society I live in. Without the support of ADP, I would not be as independent as I am.” –Ramla, Toronto

Please see below for a list of events. To ensure our voice is heard across the province, please let us know what’s happening in your community. To submit an event, please contact Aerissa Roy-Dupuis at Aerissa.Roy-Dupuis@cnib.ca or 1-800-563-2642 x7458.
